…plucked right off the piano’s family tree
The artist came close to getting it right, aside from the missing bridges and dangerous looking hammers!
And the pillows were actually large bialys.
I hear the marriage bed was covered with rose petals and chicks of halavah…
I recognize the couple beneath the drawing. It’s Sarah and Yekl Shapiro. A wonderful couple. Years ago, she posed for many artists. He was known to sit for days on end in meditation. Heartland Klezmorim played at their wedding.
