The back, sides and peghead of dulcimer no. 207 ha The back, sides and peghead of dulcimer no. 207 have been sealed, and now I'm prepping the soundboard for finish.
- Gluing the fretboard to the soundboard on dulcim - Gluing the fretboard to the soundboard on dulcimer no. 208. The long wooden clamping caul has a convex curve, and clamping down the ends puts pressure along the entire length of the fretboard. Only one clamp at each end is necessary to firmly clamp the joint, but I feel better adding a few more just to be sure.

What took even longer was training termites to create perfectly round holes of the right sizes in the right places.
