I have heard some cool stuff on them too. It is basically a bowed psaltery with a few groups of string tune for chordal accompaniment. Some people get a lot of music out of the old “play by number” zithers.
Doug, I’ve heard a good ukelin player before so know a cool sound can be got from one.
