Dulcimer-like? Well, definitely dulcimers but the designs are influenced by zithers and overseas dulcimer relations.
I made a few dulcimers in the early 1980’s featuring supplemental strings, sympathetic strings, extended drones, etc. It was a lot of fun and the instruments opened up some new musical doors for myself and others. I’ve had the urge to work up some new designs and will keep you posted as they develop.
